We all have some belly fat that we want to get rid of. I’ve had belly fat since I turned 19 and have not been able to get it off for more than a couple of months at a time.
However, recently I’ve made a decision to get rid of it once and for all and finally feel confident about wearing my crop tops or bikinis.
This post will share some amazing tips that can help you get rid of your belly fat!
Having said all this, these tips will help you lose some belly fat, but nothing, I repeat, absolutely nothing will help you slim your waist like some exercise and a healthy diet
1. Stand/Sit Up Straight
Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror while standing up really straight? It seems to automatically take away at least 5 pounds from your frame. Keeping your spine rigid and your shoulders back while sucking in your belly toward your spine gives you a slimmer, more streamlined middle.

So, start working on your posture and watch belly fat melt away from your midsection in minutes! Yoga is a great way to improve your posture and also flatten your stomach. So, if you’ve been thinking about how to get rid of belly fat naturally, then here are some amazing yoga poses you should try out.
Get rid of pasta and bread
Yes, I know they taste like heaven, but these are really bad for keeping your stomach flat, especially if you’re having them every day. So consider cutting them out of your diet altogether or cut down on how much you eat.
Get rid of sugars and sugary stuff
Did you know that your average drink has over 9 Tsp of sugar? An average person’s intake of sugar should be 6 tsp per day. But, sadly many of us go way over it and go way past our daily recommended serving of sugar. What with our morning coffees, drinks at lunch or dinner, sweet treats, fruits and so much more we’re consuming more than double the sugars we should be consuming. This can quickly lead to gaining fat in general, but many of us gain most of our fats in our stomach region. Try to cut down your sugar intake drastically to get rid of belly fat.
Keep in mind that many fruits are very high in sugars, so be aware of consuming too much fruit as well!
Start intermittent fasting.
This is the process of allowing yourself a specific window of time in which to eat all your meals for a day. Most people use the 16:8 eating window which means that they fast for 16 hours, then eat all their meals within an 8 hour period.
The main aim of this is to limit the number of calories you can eat in a day. Most people tend to binge eat throughout the day because they can. With intermittent fasting, you’re only allowing your self 8 hours to eat and this CAN help you reduce calories significantly. While also helping you control how much you eat on a daily basis.
Cut out alcohol
Many of us don’t quite understand how many calories are in alcohol. Keep in mind that 1 pint of beer has 208 calories and 1 glass of wine has 123 calories. Many times we tend to go overboard and down 1 or two glasses each week.
According to webmd.com
It’s not necessarily beer but too many calories that can turn your trim waistline into a belly that protrudes over your pants.
The thing is though, that it’s very easy to down a couple of beers without evening thinking about how many calories they actually contain. Cutting them out can help you out tremendously.
Cut out trans fat
According to Webmd.com
Trans fats make you fatter than other foods with the same number of calories — but that’s not all. Researchers at Wake Forest University find that trans fats increase the amount of fat around the belly. They do this not just by adding new fat, but also by moving fat from other areas to the belly.
Do this core workout every day!
I know. I know. Everyone knows that exercise can help you get rid of belly fat. In fact, consistently doing abdominal workouts for a couple of weeks can help you get rid of belly fat. However, many people continue to ignore daily exercise. Therefore, if you want to get rid of your belly fat, do some sit up and crunches every single day!
Stop drinking store bought juices
Many fruit juices are assumed to be healthy for you, however, many of them contain tons of added sugars that can play a role in stalling your weight loss. For instance, an orange juice that I really like contains 23 grams of sugar, I assumed it was healthy because it is ‘OJ’, However, I’vrecentlyly found out that this juice contains 23 grams of sugars (approximately 6 tsp of sugar) per glass! This is the average amount of sugar an average adult should be consuming in an entire day. Needless to say that I was consuming my full serving of sugar in only 1 cup of juice, not to mention other things I usually eat throughout the day that also includes sugar. Having 1 -2 glasses of juice per day were quickly getting me way over my sugar serving each day, and it was not helping my waistline!
Eat lots of fiber
Fiber has no magical fat-burning properties. What it does is that it helps you feel full for longer thus helping you eat fewer calories.
Lift weights (even if you’re a woman)
Lifting weights can help you get a flat stomach (or tone your whole body). In fact, some researchers have found that lifting weight can help you burn 40% more body fat than regular aerobic exercise.
These are 10 awesome things that you can do to drastically reduce your belly fat fast. They’re not hard to implement in your daily routine and they are all guaranteed to help you see a difference in your belly fat or general weight loss if you stay consistent doing them!
